As an experienced Optical Engineer you will take a hands-on role leading the development of our optical systems. You will be responsible for and manage the planning, designing, engineering, and building of our core Raman analytical system. You will need to manage tasks and allocation of resources with the management team and other Engineers. Ensure the delivery of engineering work to deadlines, develop and manage direct reports.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in spectroscopy-related engineering.

Experience with waveguide optical systems and fiber optic coupling.

Experience as a free-space optical system engineer.

Hands-on experience in designing and engineering an optical system with laser alignment and coupling at micron spot size.

Experience in rapid prototyping with optical systems. We are very ambitious with our timeline.

Optical systems engineering and integration, working with a team of mechanical and software engineers to develop the technology collaboratively.

Experience with ISO 13485 / Medical Devices.

Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization.

Good problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role will involve constant interaction within a multidisciplinary team and with other stakeholders in Research, Development, Production, and Informatics teams.
