Full Job Description

  • Lead the warehouse operational daily activities required to achieve the service requirements

  • Manage timely and accurate receipt of product and purchase orders onto the Warehouse Management System (WMS)

  • In alignment with the Inventory Manager, oversee weekly, monthly and yearly stock-counts as required

  • Maintain teams high adherence to agreed WMS operational compliance to achieve high service levels and ensure an efficient internal movement of stock whilst maintaining system accuracy

  • Ensure correct collation and movements of stock both physically and on the system, with timely investigation and resolution of all stock-related issues to ensure accurate stock levels of goods for the ongoing delivery of all orders.

  • Maintain efficient operational stock rotation and handling systems, including obsolete stock levels disposal

  • Responsible for the management and development of colleagues within your team

  • Responsible for management of yard activities and organisation

  • Conduct regular 1:1s with all team members and team leaders

  • Work collaboratively across shifts to drive performance of the function, including effective handovers between shifts as a key element

  • Ongoing identification of training needs within your team, ensuring that a Personal Development Plan is in place for all applicable colleagues

  • In liaison with L&D, ensure a training plan is in place for team members & team leaders including agreed timescales for implementation

  • Maintain discipline, including managing levels of absenteeism, amongst the team in accordance with Company policies and procedures

  • Continuous process interrogation and improvement

  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders

  • Work co-efficiently with production

  • Deputise for the Warehouse Operations Manager as requested

  • H&S Responsibilities aligned with the companies policies


  • Any other reasonable duties as requested to achieve the needs of the business

  • Skills, knowledge and abilities required to be effective in this position

  • Experience working in a stock-management role ideally in FMCG

  • Good IT skills particularly Word, Excel and Google suite

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as interaction at all levels of the business will be required

  • Excellent organisational skills are a must in this fast-moving and challenging environment

  • A confident, forward-thinking team player

  • Ability to effectively manage workload

  • Problem-solving

  • Ambitious and looking to succeed in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience of using WMS and stock control systems

  • IOSH, HACCP and Food Safety Level 3 an advantage, You're a confident self-starter, able to juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, exciting and entrepreneurial environment. You have initiative and are a problem-solver with an eagle eye for detail. You'll consistently go the extra mile to apply and achieve a high standard across everything you do.
