Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the nursing team on the specialist Nephrology and Oncology ward at South Tyneside District Hospital. Ward 5 is a 28 - 34 bedded Medical Ward which specialises in renal and oncology. It is a very busy ward due to the diversity and dependency of patients admitted.

We are looking to recruit a dedicated leader who is passionate about providing high quality and compassionate care to our patients. We are looking for an individual leader who will demonstrate role modelling, empowerment, development and support to our clinical team and provide leadership and high quality nursing care., The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills and will be dedicated to improving the patients' experience. You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong commitment to develop others and work closely within a multi-disciplinary team. The Ward Manager will be expected to support the Matron and the Ward Team to maintain a patient focused positive experience and environment.
