As Director of Strategy and Performance, you will support the CIO in defining the function's strategy, and operating model and driving the digital transformation of the digital function.

The Director of Strategy and Performance is initially accountable for the design and operating effectiveness of our internal control framework, managing the build and development of our key internal capabilities.

This role is an integral part of the Digital leadership team, with a focus on leading rather than managing. They will drive the strategic direction and decision making ensuring the department is run efficiently delivering on its financial targets and performance commitments

What you'll be doing as Director of Strategy & Performance

+ Support the CIO in defining and delivering the 'Digital Transformation for Digital' strategy, associated operating model and roadmaps to improve key capabilities including risk management, licence management, supplier management and others.
+ Establishing 'Operational grip' across Digital including implementation of Financial and budget controls, Compliance, Risk and Audit management processes.
+ Driving the definition and implementation of the Digital control framework and overall governance and assurance processes.
+ Led the Digital Management Office Team including (Performance Optimisation, Capital Benefits planning and cost management).
+ Management of key stakeholder relationships with internal and external suppliers, including the Executive and Board.

Deliverables

+ Clearly articulated strategy and roadmap for the development of the Digital control functions and associated capabilities.
+ Plan for the resolution of all digital-related audit points.
+ Implementation of the Digital control framework.
+ Drive refinement and adoption of Standard Programme Delivery, controls, standards, and benefits tracking/KPI framework and tools.

+ Experience leading and managing teams in highly matrixed environments.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively across organisational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve goals.
+ Strong leadership skills in managing individuals and leading high-performing teams.
+ Experience successfully managing complex transformations including but not limited to human resources, finances, operations, or strategies.
+ Experience in appointing, leading and managing external/ partner relationships.
+ Proven track record in the design and implementation of business policies and procedures.
+ Operating model design, implementation and improvement.
+ Able to work in a complex environment/matrix organisation and be able to lead and influence the wider business ensuring there is buy-in to a shared customer vision to deliver transformational change, whilst staying within a central governance framework.
