Full Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Claims Advisor to use their motor vehicle mechanical expertise to help guide our clients through the appropriate claims process. As a key part of the APG team you will be responsible for guiding claimants through the relevant claims process giving expert advice regarding suitable repairers and relevant liabilities.

The role

The key responsibilities you could be looking after include:

· Providing accurate claims advice across a variety of products and the processes involved in line with Company and Industry guideline

· Rseolve claims across a variety of platforms

· Collect accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim

· Understand our various customer requirements and working with them to ensure they are dealt with in a fair and consistent way

· Maintain Company service levels and deliver set KPIs

· Provide support to the Sales Team

· Provide a professional, understanding and friendly service to our clients

· Ensure fair settlements of valid claims

· Handle any complaints as per the complaints process

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and focussed on a customer centered approach

· Ability to explain Motor Vehicle Technical knowledge to clients in a manner the policy holder can understand, previous experience in a service advisor role would be suitable

· Good active listening skills

· Good initiative and the ability to adapt quickly to different situations

· Ability to work effectively under pressure both within a team or on own initiative

Essential Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

· Experience in a customer service role

· Good Motor Vehicle Technicial knowledge - prior experience in a Service Advisor role

· Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

· Good understanding of voice/soft skill

Preferred:

· Experience in a FCA regulated environment

· A background in insurance product administration and claims resolution,

  • Claims Processing: 2 years (preferred)

  • Service Advisor: 2 years (preferred)
