Full Job Description

Centrepoint – Service Manager

Location – Bournemouth

Salary – £34,100 to £40,550

Hours – 37.5 per week

 

Centrepoint is the UK's leading youth homelessness charity. Alongside our partners, we support over 16,000 young people every year and campaign to end youth homelessness by 2037.

 

We are looking to appoint an experienced Manager with leadership experience in delivering trauma-informed services.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Promote a vibrant culture with an uncompromising commitment to excellence and fully integrated support and development services, reflecting the needs of those accessing the service.
  • Lead and manage a mixed team of staff who work with vulnerable young people, ensuring that they are of outstanding enduring quality. Be part of a management team that creates outcome-focused services that are
  • Responsive to young people and commissioners. Manage services to ensure they consistently reflect best practice, are financially viable and offer outstanding value for money.
  • Ensure that performance targets meet and exceed contractual requirements. Ensure that all clients and other related data are recorded accurately and that QAF and other reporting requirements are met in a timely and planned manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with all local stakeholders including commissioners, providers, local community groups and young people.
  • Maximise rental income and minimize void loss.
  • Ensure service operates within allocated budget.
  • Ensure premises are maintained to a high standard.

 

Requirements

 

  • Understanding of the requirements of supporting people contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have good IT skills to handle all admin and reporting requirements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of welfare rights and other legal issues affecting clients.
  • Experience managing supported housing projects.
  • Ability to deal with challenging situations in a calm and effective manner, effectively managing risk and health and safety.
