Full Job Description

As a Senior Video Editor, you will be a highly talented and experienced professional integral to crafting compelling video content for our diverse range of clients. From short, impactful social media edits to sophisticated Online/TVC/VOD productions, your role will be pivotal in delivering projects of the highest quality, adhering closely to briefs and deadlines. Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, Head of Video, Producers, and Client Services team, you'll ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.,

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, Head of Video, Producers, and Client Services team to grasp project briefs and objectives thoroughly.

  • Transform raw footage into captivating edits that effectively convey a compelling visual narrative.

  • Edit diverse video content, spanning social media clips, explainer videos, TV commercials, and VOD pieces.

  • Utilise Adobe Premiere Pro for all editing tasks, with proficiency in After Effects for motion graphics and animation being a desirable skill.

  • Enhance video content with music, sound effects, and voiceovers to elevate viewer engagement.

  • Employ colour correction tools to achieve consistent and visually appealing aesthetics.

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery under tight deadlines.

  • Stay abreast of the latest video editing trends and software advancements.

  • Produce social assets, both original creations and edits derived from longer video content.

  • Augment edits with relevant soundtracks and SFX, ensuring completeness with purchased stock once approved.

  • Collaborate on video amendments as necessary.

  • Ingest and organise footage captured by the video team.

  • Adhere to creative direction from the Head of Video and Video Producers, ensuring output always meets the highest standards.

  • Effectively communicate with the Production Manager and wider team, seeking clarification on briefs to facilitate project completion.

  • Maintain organised project files to optimise workflow efficiency.

  • Coordinate with the Production Manager to ensure project briefs and allocated hours align with budgetary constraints.

  • Update administration systems as required and promote good housekeeping, including archiving old files.

  • Responsible for completing and submitting daily timesheets via Synergist.

  • Support Head of Video with any requests outlined.

  • Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties. At all times comply with company policies, procedures, and instructions.

Your commitment to excellence will reflect the standards of our dynamic creative team, fostering an environment of continual growth and achievement., A degree in Film, Video, Animation and/or Digital Design., Essential previous commercial/corporate editing experience, with a portfolio or showreel showcasing relevant work.

  • Proven track record of editing various video content types, including short-form and long-form pieces.

  • Strong familiarity with the wider Adobe Creative Cloud suite is advantageous.

  • Proficient visual storytelling skills, effectively conveying messages through compelling edits.

  • Passion for film and video, coupled with a discerning eye for detail and aesthetics.

  • Comprehensive understanding of video codecs and colour spaces.

  • Experience working with proprietary video file formats from Sony, Cannon, and Red cameras.

  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and Audition, with knowledge of After Effects and illustrator being desirable.

  • A broad knowledge in After Effects & Illustrator is desirable.

  • Familiarity with Davinci Resolve and post-production workflows in an agency setting is highly desirable.

  • Strong grasp of sound design, colour correction, and grading techniques.

  • Strong understanding of colour correction and colour grading.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.

  • Keeping up and implementing current trends in video editing.

  • Colour Grading: 3 years (required)
