Full Job Description

British Rowing and the UK Sports Institute have an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Physiotherapist (Para) to work with the GB Rowing Team (GBRT) at their National Training Centre in Caversham, Reading.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE WILL COMMENCE AT THE START OF THE NEW SEASON ON 22ND OCTOBER 2024

You will be an integral and valued member of a closely-knit high-performance team, collaborating with coaches specialised in rowing and strength & conditioning, along with support staff from diverse scientific and medical backgrounds. Together our goal is to assist rowers in achieving victory on the global stage., British Rowing functions out of a bespoke National Training Centre in Caversham (near Reading) where athletes can train both on the water and on land whilst receiving World Class Coaching and Support Services. Delivery will be in person with the possibility of some remote/virtual support to meet the needs of the sport. There is also international travel for camps and competitions associated with this role. This will be approximately 85 days spread throughout the year, generally in blocks of up to 2 weeks.

We are looking for a highly experienced and suitably qualified practitioner who can work collaboratively in a demanding performance environment within an interdisciplinary support team. It is important to be accessible, approachable, and visible in this role.
For you to be successful you will bring enthusiasm and energy to the role with a genuine desire to help athletes achieve their dreams. Previous experience within rowing is not essential but a passion to learn more about the sport is.

Not only will you be well supported within the GBRT National Training Centre, but you will have technical leadership from UKSI Athlete Health staff for your continued professional development.
