About the role :

As a member of the Defensive Operations Team within Information Security, you'll be required to assess and take action to mitigate and minimise cyberattacks.

This role requires a high level of understanding of security threats and the associated tools, techniques and procedures utilised within cyber attacks, especially against IT Systems and infrastructure.

In the role you'll be required to respond to security incidents, as well as participating in security testing activity. You will perform IT security monitoring, analysis and reporting to ensure that the Society meets our critical compliance requirements.

In addition to proactively identifying threats and vulnerabilities.

• A flexible approach to working hours, including being part of a call out rota to meet own objectives and assist colleagues in meeting their objectives., Experience working in security incident response


• General Cyber Security experience and a high level of SME knowledge


• Experience of utilising a range of security tools


• Ability to be innovative and problem solve both independently and as part of a team


• Cloud Security Experience


• Experience of UK Financial Services regulatory requirements


• A relevant security related qualification CISSP, CISA / M, SANS GIAC or equivalent industry experience.


• Experience of cyber security threat hunting
