Full Job Description

CJCH Legal & Compliance Services (CJCH Limited) offer a unique service to our customers by assisting them with the protection of their digital products and copyrights. Software piracy results in unlicensed and unpaid for usage of our client's products. Our team investigate the unlicensed usage and engages with the company to facilitate their regularisation and compliance with the software product license requirements.

In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting data (training provided), identifying revenue opportunities, engaging with infringers, and negotiating commercial and/or legally enforced settlements.

The Licence Compliance and Sales Manager will also collaborate with channel partners throughout the global license compliance process, to secure the achievement of revenue target.

The objective of the business is to work with software vendors on strategies that aims to protect their Intellectual Property Rights.

The position is based at the CJCH head office in Williams House in Cardiff, UK with blended home working arrangements being possible (Weekly attendance in the office is required though). Some local and international travel may be required from time to time. The holder will have responsibility for independently managing processes and activities outlined below as relevant to our client's Global License Compliance program.,

  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle including, evaluation, engagement, negotiations and close.

  • Ensure that all stages of the sales cycle are undertaken effectively and concurrently to achieve the

  • required results.

  • Communicate effectively and proactively to direct reports, peers, and leadership team to achieve common understanding and gain buy-in and commitment from all stakeholders., Contribute to and support the case engagement, compliance, and legal phases of the Licence Compliance program in accordance with the systems and processes particular to our Client's License Compliance program.

  • Ensure that the appropriate processes are followed with particular attention to the case assessment and relevant and appropriate engagement strategy in accordance with our Client's License Compliance program.

  • Work collaboratively with the Line Manager and other relevant parties to ensure that the needs of the client are met.

  • Attend client and management meetings when required.

  • Support the Line Manager in onboarding new team members and providing training and support if required.

  • Be responsible for pipeline management, monitoring personal and account targets.

  • Responsible for duties delegated to them on behalf of the Line Manager in their absence.

  • Ensure all information is collected and retained in an ethical and transparent manner.

  • Understand the importance of being a team player both within CJCH and client community.

  • understand the importance of a cross country / cultural team ethic (cultural sensitivity/awareness).

    Good oral communication skills adapting to the different countries and cultures within which license compliance work is conducted.

  • Competency in the full MS Office suite.

  • Experience of database management, data analysis and data interpretation and recording.

  • Direct negotiation and closing experience in a sales environment.

  • Ability to apply a structured approach to decision-making and problem-solving supported by written rationales.

  • Problem-solving skills to navigate the multifaceted challenges of the industry.

  • Ability to teamwork and to collaborate with a Cross-functional team to ensure a comprehensive approach to anti-piracy efforts.

  • Develop and maintain strong product and sector-specific knowledge to be able to advise customers.

  • Preferred Skills and experience
  • Knowledge of the specific challenges and trends in the anti-piracy landscape would be beneficial.

  • Language skills in addition to English (nice to have but not essential).

  • Knowledge of Revenera Compliance Intelligence platform is desirable.

  • Experience in conducting research and investigation within a Licence Compliance program is desirable.

  • Knowledge of the computer aided engineering market and industry is a plus but not a requirement.


  • Qualifications and Education Requirements

    Educated to degree level or equivalent or equivalent experience,
  • Bachelor's (required), Retail sales: 4 years (preferred)

  • Negotiation: 3 years (preferred)

  • Customer service: 4 years (required)
