Full Job Description

We require an experienced paint technician to work in our newly opened paint shop. Our new facility is purely for the preparation and painting of our own completed Porche shells, and for paintwork requirements for Porsche owners in general.

We follow the NOVOL system Classic eight-stage process and finish our cars to the very highest standard. We have a growing talented team of painters that are skilled and passionate about their work. Our cars are often featured in magazines and exhibitions. Shells are taken from bare metal through ant-corrosion protection, filling/body contour sculpting, isolation of bare metal sanded spots, final surface sculpting, substrate preprocessing before paint coating, colour, clearcoat, and final polishing.

Our company strapline is 'Making Perfect', attention to detail and taking pride in your work is essential. You must have the skills to produce high-quality work together with an ability to adapt to all aspects of repair and restoration. You must be able to work on your own initiative but also willing to co-operate as part of a small team to achieve the high standard of work our clients expect.

DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES FOR OUR CLASSIC CAR RESTORERS

  • Stripping and fitting

  • Preparing cars fresh from the fabrication team (Bare metal)

  • Following the NOVOL Classic car paint process

  • Flatting and polishing

    History of classic cars painting, (of Porsche is desirable but not essential)

  • Ability to use problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • To be able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Driven individuals who can work to deadlines whilst always maintaining a high standard of work.

  • Previous experience within the automotive industry (essential), Classic Car painting : 5 years (required)

  • Fibreglass repair: (desirable but not essential)

  • Bare metal paint preparation

  • Stripping and fitting

Based in Hare Hatch in Berkshire with more than 30 years of experience in classic Porsche restoration. We restore Porsche primarily from the 60's and 70's and build bespoke 'Rindt' restomod cars to an exceptional standard.
