Full Job Description

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Do you have a passion for driving change and contributing to a better future through research and innovation? Are you experienced in providing expert advice on research funding opportunities to diverse audiences?
The University Strategy 2020 to 2030 sets out our commitment to harness expertise in research to help shape a better future for humanity, working collaboratively to tackle inequalities, benefit society and drive change. You will work as part of the UK Research Development Team, based centrally within the University's Research and Innovation Service. The team plays a key role in supporting academics to develop high-quality research and innovation proposals and coordinating institutional responses to funding priorities.
With strong analytical skills and experience of acting as a source of expert advice to a range of audiences, you will support the Research & Innovation Development Team to identify and map out funding opportunities proactively across the University's diverse portfolio, working with key stakeholders to disseminate information effectively to the academic community.
In addition, this role will involve coordinating regular, high profile visits from funding organisations. You will be effective in communicating at all levels, and have excellent organisational and time management skills.
