Full Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for night shift manufacturing and ensuring foods are authentic, safe, legal and produced to the specified quality. You will support the technical manager in implementing, maintaining and managing the food quality management systems, BRC standard and any other customer code practice to guarantee that quality and food safety are met across the board.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Internal audits: managing the internal audit schedule and carrying out internal audits.

  • Complaint handling: working closely with the QA Auditor in logging the customer complaint on site complaint log, investigation, and reporting.

  • Manage micro sampling and environmental monitoring plan: maintain the sampling schedule, ensure sampling completed as per the schedule, sample registering and assist technical manager in investigating out of specification results.

  • Coordinate internal product panels: product sampling, quality assessment and record keeping.

  • Maintain equipment calibration: maintain the site equipment calibration matrix and ensure internal and external calibrations are carried out timely. Also responsible for the calibration certificate and records.

  • Conduct compliance and procedural training to staff: Induction Trainings, CCP training, traceability training etc.

  • Implement technical procedures and staff training with the QA

  • Deal with supplier issues and non-compliance:

  • Handle internal non-compliances.

  • Prepare and assist in customer visits and site technical audits where necessary

  • Make sound decisions regarding removing any substandard products or ingredients and reporting to immediate supervisor or technical department.

  • Promote a safety and quality culture via teamwork and coaching colleagues in production

    Proven experience of working in a food or beverage production Quality Assurance environment.

  • Ideally be educated to degree level in Food Science.

  • HACCP and Food Safety qualifications are highly preferred.

  • PC literate.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Able to plan and organize work efficiently and effectively., QA in food manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)

  • Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
