In addition, it also operates a new Programme and Project Management System (PPMS) which supports the Service through the provision of financial tracking, scheduling and reporting functionality.
During development, we have worked closely with an external supplier, and we are now seeking an effective leader to sustain and grow this capability into the future. This role will report to the Head of Commissioning Management but will work closely with the whole highways team to deliver effective, efficient and value for money service delivery., + To lead, develop and manage the day-to-day operations of the PDO and ensure that it provides effective support for the delivery of the annual capital programme.
+ The initiation and ongoing development of effective programme and project management governance across the Highways Service
+ To maintain the integrity of data within the PPMS and to drive the capability of the system as it evolves to meet the needs of our developing service.
+ The establishment of effective working relationships with project managers and stakeholders across the Highways Service, fostering the creation of a supportive and collaborative project management environment.
+ To bring knowledge of best practice project and programme management to our Service.

+ Excellent IT skills, including the ability to work with programming software such as MS Project (or equivalent).
+ Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing. This will be aligned with a positive challenging and influencing style.
+ Experience of programming and reporting on either an extensive programme or on a smaller number of larger projects.
