Competitive Salary

Hours - ideally a morning and afternoon shift pattern covering the hours 07.00 to 19.00

Term Time Plus - 34 weeks

We are looking to appoint two Non-resident Matron for the Day Houses (boys and girls ages 13-18). The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and well-being of students and the smooth running of the domestic arrangements in the House along with a team of other Non-resident Matrons; this includes liaising with a Cleaning Supervisor, House Handyman, catering team and taking a lead with organising House functions.

Applicants will need to be able to build excellent relationships with young people, be supportive and caring. The post also calls for good organisational skills, IT literacy, the ability to remain calm under pressure and a flexible approach to duties. A first aid qualification and a full driving license are essential.

The School is an independent full boarding school of approximately 850+ pupils and 100 full-time members of the teaching staff. Entry for most boys and girls is at 13, chiefly from preparatory schools via the Common Entrance or Scholarship Examination.
