Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 highly motivated Health Practitioner to work within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Norfolk. This is a substantive post, working as part of Norfolk and Waveney's Children and Young People's Health Service. If you are passionate about safeguarding and improving outcomes for Children & Young People and have the relevant SCPHN qualification, then we would love to hear from you. This is a full-time post, although a job share would be considered for the right candidate. We are looking for a team player who has excellent organisational skills and most importantly is adept at fostering effective professional relationships with partner agencies. The successful candidate will be working collaboratively with the Police, Children's Services, and our MASH Practitioners to ensure the best possible outcomes for children. This is an exciting role where you will be assessing Health needs of children and young people to ensure that these are
recognised and supported by the appropriate services. We can offer you: A comprehensive induction into the MASH supported by an experienced MASH Health Practitioner. We offer daily supportive meetings which are both face to face and the use of Microsoft Teams and monthly group supervision with our psychologists. The role is based with our partner agencies at County Hall in Norwich and you would be part of our wider safeguarding team with Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust., Explain clearly, and with sound rationale, health information relating to complex safeguarding children issues to other MASH professionals. To offer healthy child service specific safeguarding advice and expertise to the MASH team and partner agencies. To facilitate the timely exchange of relevant health information using professional analysis to inform safeguarding assessments and decision making in accordance with information sharing guidelines. To provide case specific consultation and advice in relation to health needs for Children's Social Care team. To signpost partner agencies within MASH to appropriate relevant health staff within the health system. Review gather and analyse available health information identifying any additional health agencies involved in the child's care. To actively participate, share health information and contribute to decision making, analysing highly complex information to appropriately inform strategy meetings and risk assessments within the MASH. To ensure
relevant information and outcomes of strategy meetings/discussions in the MASH are shared back into Systm1 and where relevant, the named health practitioner is notified in a timely manner of MASH contact, activity and outcome of discussion. To maintain high standards of record keeping and documentation on cases where information has been shared.
