Marketing & Social Media Assistant

In the role as a Marketing and Social Media Assistant, you will providemarketing and social media support to our AVC business, whilst linking in and supporting the overall Group approach to marketing and social media. This is an exciting role, with an opportunity to be involved in the development of the AVC business, that is growing rapidly and gaining a strong hold in its market.

The role is ideal if you are studying a qualification or interested in marketing and social media and would like an opportunity to develop your skills in these areas.

We want someone who is energetic, has lots of ideas and is confident with all types of social media platforms, including the potential development of a new TikTok platform! You will work with a great team, who provide support to each other, and committed to the development of the AVC business.

The role will be part -time, days and hours can be flexible, particularly if you are at college/university. You will need to be based around Carlisle or within commutable distance, working out of our AVC showroom in Kingstown, as well as our Longtown office. Travel will be required to other business locations and supporting with the AVC brand at marketing events, etc.

We are currently looking for a Marketing and Social Media Assistant to join our Armstrong Vehicle Centre (AVC) team. AVC, as part of the Wm Armstrong Group, is a well-established company with a strong presence in the North of England, Cumbria, Scottish Borders and Central Belt of Scotland. Our company ethos is all about placing our customers and colleagues at the heart of everything we do, and this has allowed the business to flourish over many years. We are currently embarking on a phase of significant growth over the next 3-5 years. This includes committed investment in its vehicle sales, service, and parts division. The product portfolio includes Maxus and Isuzu brands which are well respected in the market, with a new brand coming on board imminently and a strong existing and loyal customer base.

The hourly rate will be based on age, for example if you are under 18 the hourly rate would be £7.40, over 18 the hourly rate would be £11.44. You will also have access to excellent benefits such as life assurance, sickness and pension schemes.
