This role is an exciting opportunity to be play a key part in managing a team of analysts to improve our financial crime transaction monitoring capabilities.
The topic of financial crime is captivating and playing a part in protecting the bank and our customers is exceptionally satisfying. Furthermore, with constantly evolving trends, the work is exciting and varied, offering plenty of stretch and development.

Some of the things you'll be doing

  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders to improve financial crime transaction monitoring.

  • Creation of routines that enable the team to react to new emerging financial crime risks using data and intelligence and establish a data driven responses to these risks.

  • Transform financial crime defences ready by developing insight, approach to detection rules and support the development of the financial crime detection system.

  • Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.

  • Identifies shortcomings in financial crime defences, controls or processes, suggests improvements and implement approved revisions within assigned unit and/or discipline.

    We're looking for an experienced fraud & financial crime or risk professional who can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of people management and analytical coaching within an analytics function.

  • Experience of working with large data sets to produce insightful data evaluation and analytics, creating accurate insights and recommendations.

  • Strong ability to present analytical data in appropriate, interesting, and compelling ways.

  • Have a growth mindset and a willingness to learn.

  • Experience of prioritisation of activities in a busy, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise BAU workflow within tight deadlines.


  • And any experience of these would be really useful
  • Some knowledge of economic crime regulation is useful

  • Confident coding skills (SAS/ SQL or a similar data language)
