Machinist Technician Apprenticeship

Over 3 years, this apprenticeship will equip you for a lifetime of forward thinking engineering work in our manufacturing facilities. Upon completion of the programme will earn you a Level 3 Engineering Technician qualification.

You'll learn in depth how we turn out quality new JCB products to time and budget constraints. You'll see end to end how we cut, bend, weld and assemble to produce the signature yellow machines.

As part of your role as a Machinist, you'll understand how to machine components from specialist materials using different tools such as; centre lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines and so much more. Setting up, operating and adjusting equipment settings is part of the process to ensure good quality and efficiency.

There are no barriers to the top professionals here-you'll have direct, one-on-one access to all their expertise. Minimum Entry Criteria - You'll need at least four GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths, English and a relevant scientific/technical subject at C/4 or above.
