Full Job Description
Procurement Manager (Buyer) Job Duties to include but not limited to:
- Procurement of materials and plant for the entire group.
- Understanding of purchasing processes.
- Create and maintain good relationships with manufacturers/suppliers.
- Make professional decisions.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, quantities and other important data relating to projects. Produce reports based on this information.
- Review and analyse all manufacturers/suppliers, supply and price options.
- Negotiate the best deal whilst considering the whole supply chain.
- Ensure that all products are high quality and delivered on time.
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers, delivery times and mitigate against delays.
- Work with team members inc. project managers to complete duties as required.
- Attend project meetings.
- Negotiate pricing agreements, project prices and rebates with suppliers/manufacturers.
- Schedule deliveries.
- Provide the Operations and Project Managers with procurement data, expertise and advice.
- Raising and issuing of purchase orders.
CIPS Procurement qualification preferred. - Minimum of 2 year's experience in a similar role.
- Experience within the construction sector preferred.
- Strong IT skills including Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting software (Sage).
- Able to prioritise tasks and see through to completion.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy.
- Confident within communication both verbal and written to all.
- Ability to ask questions and develop individually.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Work unsupervised and prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Proactive, reliable & punctual.
