Full Job Description

Are you ready to help keep our community clean and green? You'll be on the move daily, making sure waste and recycling get collected, sorted, and properly managed.

  • you'll join a friendly team, picking up household, business, and other types of waste and recycling from different spots.

  • you'll help sort out recycling materials; it's like helping the planet bit by bit.

  • you'll talk to people in a nice and professional way. If they have questions or something's bothering them, you're there to help sort it out.

  • you'll stay safe and keep others safe too. We follow health and safety rules very seriously, and you'll also help our drivers make sure the vehicle is moved safely., You will work 37 hours per week on a rota basis to cover early mornings, some weekends, and bank holidays. The opportunity to work overtime is available., We also look for applicants who share our commitment to our behaviours. We will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.

  • The post holder will be responsible for the PPE as supplied and will assist with the routine checks and cleaning of vehicles.

    This is an outdoor-based role. Exposure to all weather conditions, traffic conditions, and hazards connected to exposure to dirt, dust, and noise. Will involve the handling of chemicals and contact with unknown substances and materials. Contact with the public with a risk of challenge or abusive behaviour.

    The post requires a lot of walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout the day.
