Full Job Description

We are now looking for a candidate to provide a quality customer service experience to our customers, whilst supporting the External Sales Team with key accounts, export, and intercompany sales

What will you be doing:

  • Professionally answer all calls promptly to company standard and respond as appropriate to the nature of the call

  • Continually building strong and credible relationships with the external sales team and customers; acting with the highest integrity and professionalism. Provide a quality service in the administration and servicing of internal and external customers

  • Accurately take and process verbal orders, maximising sales at all opportunities via upselling or cross selling

  • Refer appropriate queries to external sales managers, with reference to specials orders and liaise closely with external sales managers regarding customer needs and expectations

  • Refer appropriate queries to the Internal Sales Manager or Head of Sales regarding export and inter-company orders and liaise closely with customers to meet their expectations

  • Accurately process orders using IT systems, and issue delivery orders. Ensuring system is continuously kept up to date

  • Liaise closely and work in partnership with Zoo's Warehouse manager and Supervisors and other departments, to track, make additions and amendments to orders and ensure orders progress where necessary

  • Act as a contact for the client to handle all queries and/or amendments

  • Deal with miscellaneous, technical or delivery issues on orders within your area of responsibility

  • Build and maintain own product awareness and identify areas of product training necessary

  • Process all customer queries, issues, and concerns to ensure all issues are resolved to a satisfactory outcome

  • Proactively contact customers both existing and new to obtain orders and/or to advise of promotions or products of specific interest

  • Carry out all administration duties related to the role including filing of orders, photocopier and ICT, any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager from time to time which fall within the post holders capabilities and skill set

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, visitors, customers and managers

    Strong communication skills

  • High level customer service skills projecting a positive, friendly and professional attitude at all times

  • Product knowledge

  • Attention to detail, organised and able to manage own workload

  • Proactive approach

  • Competent use of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Competent use of internal IT packages - Orderwise, Phocas

  • Clear understanding of the group company structure

  • Ideally access to own transport due to location
