Full Job Description

The Head of Operations will play a critical role in overseeing end-to-end operations, including supply chain processes, order fulfilment, inventory management, and warehouse operations for Darts Corner. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong leadership skills, experience in both supply chain and warehouse management, and a commitment to maintaining efficient operations and a safe working environment. The role will be responsible for managing and optimising various aspects of the operational workflow to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of products to customers. The ideal candidate will lead a team of warehouse staff, implement best practices, and collaborate with other departments to fulfil customer orders promptly.,

  • Create and enforce effective warehouse processes and procedures to enhance productivity while minimising errors, ensuring optimal workflow.

  • Conduct rolling stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies to maintain precise inventory records, facilitating accurate order fulfilment.

  • Take a lead role in cross-departmental communication including customer service, sales and finance teams to ensure timely fulfilment of customer orders, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Provide leadership and direction to warehouse staff, offering training, guidance, and support to optimise team performance and productivity.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and uphold any Health and Safety processes.

  • Accountable for weekly inbound and outbound order processing planning and consequently responsible for resource planning working alongside the Head of People

  • Oversee order processing to meet customer expectations and minimise backorders, ensuring efficient delivery of products.

  • Keep inventory records accurate and up to date, facilitating informed decision making and efficient operations.

  • Collaborate with third-party providers to optimise distribution processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods.

  • Identify and resolve any issues related to inventory, shipments, or warehouse processes, implementing corrective actions and process improvements as needed.

  • Produce reports on the warehouse for inventory levels and order fulfilment metrics, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Promote a positive and collaborative team environment within the warehouse, encouraging teamwork.

    Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

  • Proficient in warehouse management software systems.

  • A strong knowledge of Orderwise ERP platform would be desirable.

  • Flexible and willing to work in line with the demands of the business.

  • Naturally resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an approachable style.

  • Ability to handle situations sensitively and able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to adapt quickly, have a flexible attitude and to anticipate and prioritise different workloads.

  • Good administrative skills.

  • Working as a team player and able to provide effective communication.

  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.

    The salary for this role will be dependant on experience
