Full Job Description

The Head of Networks will lead the strategy, delivery and continuous improvement of the IAG Network platform and in support of the strategic and operational business requirements of the organisation and its customers. This is a critical, senior and visible role taking accountability for a series of complex services and programmes of work delivered within IAG and in a diverse supplier ecosystem.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the evolution of network design implementing Group policies and standards

  • Act as the principal decision maker around network upgrades, capability enhancements, supplier selection and incident resolution

  • Lead teams across IAG Tech and multiple suppliers to deliver resilient, robust services leveraging our infrastructure and network

  • Recruit and retain technical talent into the team

  • Lead the development of network strategic roadmaps, leading the team to ensure service stability and enables the future roadmap

  • Accountability for ensuring tooling is in place to provide real time observability across the network estate enabling accurate health assessment and early detection and resolution of issues

  • Provide leadership and guidance in support of the delivery of a number of broad and complex projects

  • Build a strong relationship with the cyber security team to ensure smooth service operation

  • Primary point of contact for audit and accountable for network audit remediation activity

  • Ensure documentation of network, systems & service are accurately maintained

  • Accountable for the safe, secure, resilient running of the networks service, ensuring that all established protocols are adhered to

  • Supplier engagement to ensure best performance at best value for our services ensuring all contractual obligations are delivered

  • Demonstrates clear leadership and an ability to influence and persuade across the organisation at senior levels, leading by example and aligning stakeholder groups around a common vision.

  • Collaborative, open working, resulting in recognition as a valued partner by colleagues, customers and senior stakeholders across the organisation

  • Demonstrates and applies a deep understanding of third-party supplier management principles

  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and disseminate important messages to an executive audience

  • Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to escalate issues

  • Experience of leading a global 24x7 service offering

  • Strong experience of delivering critical IT services in an operational environment

  • Solid experience of Network transformation, specifically moving from a legacy technical environment to forward thinking, scalable, resilient platforms and services

  • Business partnering, working as a valued partner with internal and external stakeholders across a diverse stakeholder base, delivering a value-added service to customers

  • Proven track record of successful stakeholder management at a senior level, with a proven ability of influencing and persuading across the organisation

  • Proven experience of dealing with diverse supplier framework

  • Good application of supplier management skills, building effective relationships through a business partnering approach, ensuring service levels are maintained for business customers
