Head of Commercial Finance and FP&A

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Leader to join our finance and operations team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be pivotal in driving profitability, optimising operational efficiency, and fostering strategic initiatives across the organisation.,

• Collaborate with the CFO and Commercial Director to devise and execute Pricing and Promotion Strategies across various channels.


• Develop margin management models with the product team to enhance product profitability.


• Oversee the promotional sign-off process in coordination with commercial and marketing teams.


• Provide support for range development activities to ensure product diversification and market competitiveness.


Operational Business Partnering:

• Establish and review key operational KPIs across kitchen and factory operations, focusing on labour and productivity.


• Streamline labour planning processes utilising existing scheduling tools to optimise workforce efficiency.


• Assist the FP&A Manager in conducting labour and P&L reviews with the operations team.


• Collaborate with the Factory Finance Manager to define factory KPIs and develop tracking tools for performance evaluation.


Value Creation:

• Identify opportunities for value creation across all channels through comprehensive business analysis.


• Define and monitor KPIs to measure and realise value from strategic initiatives.


Reporting and Planning:

• Continuously enhance weekly and monthly KPI reporting mechanisms.


• Consolidate P&L and KPI reporting, providing clear insights into cause-and-effect relationships.


• Partner with the CFO to implement a formalised planning cycle to drive strategic decision-making.
  
  You are a aualified Accountant or other relevant Commercial/Analytical experience, MBA, Consulting etc.


• You have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.


• You have more than 5 years of experience in finance or operations roles, preferably within the consumer goods industry.


• Previous experience in business partnering and strategic planning is highly desirable.


• You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.


• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.


• You are proficient in data analysis, including advanced Excel skills. Experience with SQL and Power BI is advantageous.


• You have a curious mindset with a knack for uncovering opportunities for revenue enhancement and process improvement.


• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can effectively prioritise tasks to support business growth.

With more than 40 kitchens across the UK, we're expanding coverage to new cities on an almost weekly basis (including our first openings in Scotland and Wales!). We've also opened the UK's biggest pastificio (which, in Italian, means pasta factory, but 'pastificio' better reflects the type of fresh, artisanal pasta we produce) in Acton, West London, allowing us to make ever more exciting and ambitious pasta and sauces for our customers.
