Global Head of Technology

As the Global Head of Technology for Bekaert's Steel Ropes Division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape across our global operations. You will lead a team of experts, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful deployment of cutting-edge technology to enhance our product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities.,

• Act as the Rope Technology expert for the Executive Leadership Team, providing technical expertise to enhance strategic decision-making.


• Oversee research, development, testing, and deployment of new technologies across the Bekaert Group, working closely with local Vice Presidents.


• Provide technical assistance to local operations to facilitate successful deployment of technology advancements.


• Ensure commercial offerings align with our product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities, fostering collaborative relationships with key customers.


• Cultivate effective partnerships with external experts to create competitive advantages both commercially and technically.


• Lead a team of applications specialists to provide efficient and effective technology support to key customers.


• Ensure global rope design resources operate cohesively to meet customer demands and maintain a structured design process.


• Implement and sustain policies, procedures, and parameters governing all technology activities across Bekaert worldwide.


• Drive adherence to Bekaert Group technology policies and procedures, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.


• Identify and implement technology improvement opportunities to positively impact customers, manufacturing, and product robustness.


• Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports to accomplish company goals and objectives.


• Manage global technology budgets and allocate resources as appropriate.
  
  Master's degree in Materials Engineering or related subject.


• Minimum of 10 years in a related technology environment.


• Minimum of 5 years in a senior-level technology role.


• Demonstrable record of achievement and driving continuous development.


• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and implementing change programs.


• Strong understanding and application of problem-solving techniques and tools.


• Comfortably deals with complex technology issues.


• Very strong leadership and people management skills.


• Ability to manage high workload and time manage priorities.


• Ability to work with the markets, our customers, and our technology experts to put innovation at the heart of what we do.


• Identify business strategy & priorities and create appropriate plans to ensure success.
