General Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a General Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for performing various duties in a warehouse environment, including materials handling, shipping and receiving, and quality control. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment., Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle materials and products in a warehouse setting
- Load and unload deliveries using appropriate equipment
- Follow health & safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Utilize warehouse management system to track stock levels and inventory

- Support the despatch team on all functions
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance and organization

- Assist with any ad-hoc duties as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor

Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Counterbalance forklift licence ideal, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks

Requirements:
- GCSE's in English & Maths, grade 4 or above
- Ability to lift heavy objects (16kg for women, 20kg for men) repeatedly throughout the day
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
