Full Job Description

You will be working both in the young person's family home and across the wider community. As part of this role, you will be working on a one-to-one basis with the young person, supporting them to access a range of indoor and outdoor activities and develop daily living skills.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a package of provision which meets the outcomes of the young person's EHCP, so strong communication and organisation skills are a must.

Requirements

  • Must be calm and flexible, with a positive and friendly demeanour


  • Must have experience and confidence in supporting neurodivergent young


  • people, particularly those with anxiety and trauma

  • Must have a car that can be used as part of the role (mileage will be paid)


  • Must have experience working with young persons who have barriers to


  • education and social situations

  • Ideal to have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team, reporting to teachers /package coordinators through written and verbal mediums


  • Ideal to have experience supporting a young person's preparation for adulthood


  • Qualifications/Licenses

  • A full, clean driver's license and car. Non-drivers should not apply for this role.


  • Desirable to have a teaching assistant (or equivalent) qualification


  • Desirable to have a level 1 safeguarding qualification - will be provided as part of the role if not
