Communication Support Worker

Badgerbrook Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and conscientious Communication Support Worker to provide support throughout the school day to an individual deaf student who communicates through British Sign Language/or both through BSL and spoken language. The opportunity is to join Badgerbrook School on a temporary basis until 25th August 2025. The successful candidate will also be required to do lunchtime cover for half an hour per day during term time.

We are looking for a Communication Support Worker who has BSL Level 3 or equivalent. The right candidate will have the experience and enthusiasm to work 1:1 with the student promoting BSL skills and speaking and listening skills.

The hours are 30 per week - 8.45am - 3.15pm (with a 30-minute lunch break), each weekday in term time, plus the equivalent of one week for staff training (INSET days). This is a temporary position until August 2025.
