Full Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY IN DETAIL: As the commercial manager, you will be responsible for leading and supervising the team of 3 Business Managers working for each of the businesses. You will work with the managers to lead the development of robust and ambitious commercial strategies for each business and ensuring these are delivered in line with the agreed delivery plan timescales. You will be committed to identifying and securing new customers, clients and suppliers to ensure successful delivery of the commercial strategies. You will provide regular updates to the Business Development Sub-Committee of the parent company, Navigo, to provide updates on the delivery of the commercial strategies and income targets. You will be responsible for identifying synergies between the business and implementing economies of scale and opportunities for partnership working where appropriate. You will lead the development and implementation of successful marketing campaigns to raise the profile of the businesses,
increase the customer footprint and maximise profitability. Working with partners at Navigo, you will generate ideas, provide advice and input into new trading arm business opportunities and engage in the business case development and new business roll out. This will include the opportunity to further grow the commercial team capacity to support the growth in the trading arm businesses As the Commercial Manager, responsibilities will include: Setting of Commercial Strategy, including sales and marketing strategies for each business and being responsible for their implementation with regular monitoring to ensure all targets are exceeded. Negotiating and overseeing contracts Identifying and securing new business. Providing commercial insights, driving profitable growth and supporting the delivery of the businesses long-term goals Overall responsibility for the Commercial Profitability of the identified businesses and exceeding those set targets and budgets Ensuring regular communication with

the Director of Corporate Services Overseeing the Business Managers and daily operations of the businesses and developing cross business working and sharing of good practices / identifying synergies Staying aware of the latest trends and developments and representing the businesses at industry events Monthly reporting on performance of all businesses to the Business Development Sub-Committee Lead and supervise the team of Business Managers operating within each business. Oversight of account management with both new and existing clients Manage complaints and resolutions Candidate Profile: A commitment and passion for supporting and enhancing the local community and mental health services. An enthusiastic leader that has the ability to grow the businesses and lead the existing team on the journey to further success Previous experience of working in one or more of the existing business markets A track record of the development and delivery of successful business growth strategies
Demonstrated experience in sales & marketing and/or commercial management roles Ability to target markets/customers and develop relationships Experience managing a range of teams and demonstrable proof of creating and managing targets Demonstrable understanding of business development Key account management experience Excellent written and oral communications skills Ability to demonstrate strong commitment to sales success Must be goal and results driven Good numerical skills Excellent customer service skills Experience of assisting with the development and management of commercial processes and procedures. Line management experience. Ability to thrive in a highly pressurised and dynamic environment. Be able to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work related issues
