Full Job Description

Develop detailed clay stop-motion animations, capturing dynamic photos and videos of miniature stages and characters.

Work collaboratively with community members and our creative team to adapt written scripts into vivid animated narratives following established storyboards.

Oversee all phases of animation production, from the initial concept and filming to editing and final video output.

Produce high-quality animations that effectively communicate environmental themes and stories., Create high-quality animations using various software and tools, such as 3ds Max, Mudbox, Unity, C++, Video editing software, Adobe suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro), Perforce, ZBrush, Adobe Illustrator, and C.
- Collaborate with the design and development teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Develop character movements, facial expressions, and environmental effects to enhance storytelling.
- Rig characters and objects for animation purposes.
- Ensure animations are visually appealing, realistic, and meet project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to animation software and tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in animation techniques.

Demonstrable experience in clay stop-motion animation, supported by a comprehensive portfolio.

Expertise in converting storyboards and scripts into engaging stop-motion films.

Proficiency in photography and video editing, with exceptional attention to detail and visual composition.

Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely completion of projects., Proven experience as an Animator or similar role.
- Proficient in using animation software such as 3ds Max, Mudbox, Unity, C++, Video editing software (After Effects, Premiere Pro), Adobe suite (Illustrator), Perforce, ZBrush.
- Strong understanding of animation principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of scripting languages is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Laura I. Art Gallery is seeking a talented Clay Stop-Motion Animator to create engaging animations for our environmental series featuring our main character, Noah the Planet. This series will utilize clay stop-motion techniques to highlight the adventures of Noah and convey important environmental messages.

Payment is project-based. Initial rates will be modest due to our not-for-profit status, with potential adjustments based on public response and project success to support ongoing climate awareness initiatives.
