Class 2 Driver / Yard Operative

Gravel Works has an opening for a Class 2 multi drop driver / Yard Operative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering building materials and machinery to Trade and Public customers. Aggregates are mainly delivered loose in 7.5T tippers and bagged aggregates, building materials and machinery is delivered on an 18T beavertail with HIAB. You will be required to operate machinery to load vehicles, assist with general maintenance and cleanliness of the yard, as well as assisting with general labour duties.

• Responsibilities:


- Delivery of materials and machinery to site whilst complying with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directives.

- Assist in loading and unloading materials

- Organize and maintain the yard area

- Operate equipment such as forklifts and loaders

- Perform general labour tasks as needed

- Adhere to Health and Safety Policies

- Adhere to the uniform policy and maintain a positive image of the company at all times.

-Complete all paperwork as required

Valid driver's license with an in date CPC Essential

- Familiarity with HIAB/ATLAS Crane would be advantageous

- Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts/Loaders would be advantageous.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions

£13.50 an hour - Full-time
