Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Caretaker to join our schools. This is a unique opportunity to work between two schools (Dedham Church of England Primary School and St John's Church of England Primary School in Colchester) with flexible working. This is a permanent position for 20 hours per week for 43 weeks per year (term time +4 weeks). Holidays can be requested during term time or school holiday time.

We are looking for someone who will take pride in keeping our school buildings and grounds safe, smart, compliant and fit for providing a high-quality education for our children.

· Able to manage site security and be a key holder

· A good communicator and have good interpersonal skills

· Prepared to undertake relevant training required for your role

· Confident in general maintenance and have a range of practical trade or DIY skills, eg decorating, plumbing, basic carpentry

· Able to manage and replenish stock

· Able to liaise with contractors

· Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of health and safety in the workplace, eg COSHH, safe manual handling practices etc

Start date as soon as possible. Actual salary£12391.43
