Due to their continued significant growth and success, they have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced BDM Position to complement their existing team., Our client is looking for a skilled Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability through the acquisition of new business opportunities, with a primary emphasis on expanding their market presence.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients and new partnerships.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management review.

  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends.

  • Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them.

  • Managing the quote pipeline and providing analysis from feedback and market analysis.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure a positive client experience.

    Proven track record as an engineer or business development within the precision engineering or manufacturing industry and wire erosion, graphite machining or electrical discharge machining.

  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and negotiation skills

  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
