Full Job Description

  • Take a lead role in the daily care, welfare, and management of our livestock.

  • Maintain accurate digital records for livestock activities, including breeding, movements, and health treatments.

  • Implement and adapt a holistic grazing plan for optimal land management.

  • Coordinate the transportation of livestock to the abattoir.

  • Assist in the retail aspect of the farm, including meat collection and customer order preparation.

  • Train and supervise farm volunteers.

  • Ensure the upkeep of farm facilities, machinery, and equipment.

  • Assist with fencing, land maintenance, and general farm duties as required.

    We're on the lookout for a dedicated individual to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Assistant Farm Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our farm. If you're passionate about organic and regenerative farming, possess excellent stockmanship skills, and thrive in a hands-on environment, we'd love to hear from you., Proven experience in livestock management is essential.

  • A farming qualification is preferred.

  • Familiarity with organic farming practices is advantageous.

  • Thorough understanding of livestock regulations and compliance.

  • Proficiency in operating farm machinery and possession of a valid UK driving license.

  • Trailer license preferred.

    Working Hours:

  • Average 40 hours per week, organised on a rota basis.

  • Normal working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, with breaks.

  • Weekend hours: Saturday or Sunday, 08:00-10:30.
