We have an opportunity for an Area Manager - Lettings to join our Lettings team, based in Ely. The main purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of a high quality lettings service across several regions, that meets the identified needs of customers in line with Housing and Group strategies and objectives.

The role of Area Manager - Lettings will include:

  • Lead a team to deliver a high quality lettings and allocations service for a defined geographical area

  • Meet all legislative and regulatory requirements for lettings, voids and allocations activities

  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, residents, local operations, colleagues and external agencies

  • Ensure the proactive management of complaints for the service area in line with policy

  • Ensure the proactive management of reviews and transfer requests within housing, in line with policy, Sanctuary Group encourages and welcomes applications from people from diverse backgrounds to support our commitment to offering an inclusive environment for our employees and customers.

  • We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent illegal working.
    A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application which we will pay for.
    Sanctuary Housing Services Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.

  • Proven experience of delivering high quality lettings or voids services


  • Chartered Institute of Housing qualification, or the willingness to complete

  • Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice

  • Proven experience of managing people

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
