AR and Billings Specialist

You'll be doing:

Invoice Generation and Processing

Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers and clients.

Verify billing data, correct errors, and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain up-to-date records of invoices and account statuses.

Raising credit notes where required

Processing credit card payment transactions

Payment Tracking and Follow-up

Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.

Direct debit management and uploading

Allocating payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.

Contact clients for payment reminders and to resolve billing issues.

Customer Support

Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.

Provide detailed explanations of billing charges and policies.

Address and resolve customer disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Reporting and Analysis

Generate regular reports on billing activities, account statuses, and ageing receivables. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.

Identify trends and suggest process improvements to enhance billing operations.

Compliance and Record-Keeping

Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and organised billing records and documentation.

Stay informed on changes in billing regulations and best practices.

Requirements

• Prepare accurate invoices, verify billing data, and maintain up-to-date records.


• Manage payment processing, including credit card transactions and direct debit.


• Track accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and resolve discrepancies.


• Provide customer support, addressing inquiries, explaining charges, and resolving disputes.


• Generate reports on billing activities, identify trends, and suggest process improvements.


• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  
  Proven experience in billing and invoicing roles.


• Proficiency in accounting software and ideally G-Suite.


• A strong attention to detail and communication skills.


• An analytical mindset and knowledge of billing regulations.
