Full Job Description

We are looking for an Apprentice Procurement Officer to be based at our site in Annesley (NG15 0DR), you will be working remotely up to 3 days per week (Subject to Business requirements).

As an Apprentice Procurement Officer, you will support the procurement team in various tasks related to sourcing, procurement, and contract management. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in procurement processes and procedures while working towards a recognized qualification. You will assist in negotiating contracts, managing relationships, analysing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations., Assist in sourcing goods, services, and materials from vendors and suppliers.
Support the procurement team in preparing and issuing requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for quotations (RFQs)
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, pricing, and quality, aligned to Stakeholder requirements
Assist in evaluating supplier proposals and negotiating terms and conditions of contracts
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and provide support in developing procurement strategies
Maintain procurement documentation and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier evaluations to identify areas for improvement
Support contract management activities, including contract review, renewal, and termination
Participate in training programs and educational opportunities to develop procurement knowledge and skills
Assist in resolving procurement-related issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely manner
Building rapport and managing relationships

  • Good GCSE grades in Maths and English

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and remotely

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices is desirable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills in procurement

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

  • Commitment to completing the Level 4 Procurement Apprenticeship program

    The role will offer a salary range of between £22,000 and £25,000 (Subject to experience)
