Full Job Description

  • Work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure efficient functioning of the Engineering department.

  • Learn and master the process of reverse engineering faulty components, including manufacturing new items from scratch, primarily hydraulic cylinders, utilising both manual and CNC machines.

  • Develop proficiency in welding within our fabrication area to facilitate equipment repairs.

  • Acquire a strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and associated products., Upon successful completion of the level 2, there is the opportunity to progress on to the 2nd year of the level 3 apprenticeship.

  • There is also the opportunity to progress in other areas of our engineering business, such as design engineering or service and maintenance engineering.

    You will attend Exeter college 2 days a week during term time and work towards achieving the Level 2 Engineering Operative Standard which includes; Level 2 Diploma in engineering operations (skills); Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge); Functional skills if needed., Communication skills, Attention to detail, Problem solving skills, Logical, Team working, GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C) Desired
    GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Desired
