Full Job Description

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to step in and manage services across the Community Inpatient rehabilitation units. A perfect opportunity for those that want to develop their clinical leadership skills and gain experience in the team manger role. This opportunity is being offered as a fixed term/secondment 1 year post within community services.

The successful candidate will be well supported by four fellow community AHP team mangers and work closely with the wider integrated community team.

As well as developing line management skills you will also work collaboratively with the MDT across the four community inpatient units. A key responsibility of this role will be to lead quality service improvements and embed the rehabilitation agenda.

The units include Selby War Memorial Hospital, Nelson Court within York and St Monica's Community hospital within Easingwold.

Duties include staff management, recruitment, induction, appraisal, locality training and service development. Support will be available from operational managers and fellow team managers as well as clinical advice from advanced clinical specialists in this area and professional leads., As part of seeking to become more inclusive, we will consider requests for flexible working from the start of your employment. A relevant degree in physiotherapy or occupational therapy or equivalent with current HCPC registration is essential. The successful candidate will have a broad range of post graduate experience, with at least some in a relevant clinical area and should include working at a senior level, and taking responsibility for other members of staff.

Ability to support others in skills development and complex discharge management is essential and understanding of complex care management within the NHS environment is also beneficial., Disability Confident
