2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer (projects & support)

As a Senior Engineer, you will join our Engineering Team, mainly providing onsite technical support to our customers in the education and private sectors. You will be required to travel to customer sites on a scheduled basis, work through support tickets logged by the customer, and perform routine checks and maintenance on their IT systems. You will also be involved in additional commissioning work, such as hardware installations, infrastructure upgrades and cloud transformation projects.

Essential Experience:

• Windows Server 2012 - 2022


• Microsoft Exchange - 2010 - 2016


• O365 (AAD Connect, User Mgmt, Email, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Teams)


• Networking principals, DHCP/DNS, Switch Configuration


• Virtual server technologies (Hyper-V and/or VMware), including Storage and Networking


• MDM / InTune


• Network device configuration, e.g. Patching, VLANs, STP, QoS, VPNs, Firewalls, Web Filters,


• Routers and Wireless technologies


• Hardware upgrades for Servers and Workstations


Further responsibilities within the role will include;

• Ensure all projects are delivered and installed within the timescales set.


• Travel to customer sites,


• Provide pre & post 3rd line technical support to any onsite issues.


• Carry out site surveys and create technical documentation.


• Where required, take the lead with various ongoing project-related work.


• To liaise with first- and second-line teams and ensure timely communication of issues
